Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, January 2007 - Nauticomp Inc. has expanded its LCD product line for 2007 for a complete line of dedicated marine certified displays. The 15.0", 19.0". 21.3" and 23.1" Centric displays have been tested and meet ECDIS requirements, thus meeting the stringent demands of Marine and Military specifications. The deep dimming capability is equal to or below 0.52 candela (Nit) and all have RS232 Interface for controlling dimming settings in ECDIS mode. These commercial LCD’s are available with an IP67 sealing kit.
Nauticomp Inc. has a new display software available for the Nauticomp Glass Bridge Displays®. This software allows the operator to dim multiple displays through a single Commander Controller. The Commander Controller allows dimming in the standard black as well as the Nauticomp™ "dim to red" feature. The controller can dim all input sources at any brightness level in either black or red by finger tip touch. Multiple displays are daisy chained through the display's USB port.
